Solaris-2.5.1 の問題なのでしょうか? 
もしかしたらどれか OS パッチを当てると直るのでしょうか?

man find で -type の項を見ると
SunOS4.1.3
     -type c        True if the type of the file is c, where c is
                    one of:

                         b    for block special file c
                         c    for character special file
                         d    for directory
                         f    for plain file
                         p    for named pipe (FIFO)
                         l    for symbolic link
                         s    for socket

Solaris-2.5.1
     -type c         True if the type of the file is c,  where  c
                    is  b,  c,  d,  l,  p, or f for block special
                    file, character special file, directory, sym-
                    bolic link, fifo (named pipe), or plain file,
                    respectively.

Solaris は socket の記述がないのです。

Solaris-2.5.1で名前付きパイプとソケットを正しく判定できている方はいらっ
しゃいますか?
