[Mew-dist 13998] mew problems

hello!

i finally managed to install mew on my system, but everytime i click on
the "mail" button i get the following error message:

invalid function: (macro . #<compiled-function (ovl) "...(9)" [ovl and
extentp extent-live-p] 4>)

this is written in the status line, not i a buffer; it happens after
the message "setting Mew world".

i hope you can help me, because i really want to use mew.
