Sorry for  replying only  now, I've been  really busy.  From  a visual
point of view, I think the better would be that the note appears as an
attachment (with "Note"  or "N" instead of the  number).  I don't like
too  much to  modify the  original message,  but this  looks  like the
easier  thing to  do,  the advantages  being:  different charsets  are
easily supported; the note is refilled together with the message; when
replying, the  note is ignored;...  The  problem is the  hassle (?) of
transforming the message to add an (editable) attachment.

Also, it would be  good to be able to erase a  note.  That is close to
what  I  suggested  in  a  previous  message: to  be  able  to  delete
attachments (even  though, for real  attachments, it would be  good to
actually keep some info about the attached file: e.g., name, size, md5
checksum).  Maybe this is not too difficult to make?
