[mew-dist 18026] Function mew-mime-text/html-w3m is not executable here.

添付内容が html であるにもかかわらずそ内容を Application/Octet-Stream 
と指定して添付してあるメッセージを受け取りました。その添付内容を Mew 
から直接 w3m で見ようと C-u C-c C-e で text/html と指定したところ

Function mew-mime-text/html-w3m is not executable here.

というメッセージが出て w3m を起動してくれません。

mew-summary.el の 1127 行をみると確かにこうなるようになっています。何
がいけないのでしょうか？

環境は Mew version 2.0 pre1 on Emacs 21.0.103.1 / Mule 5.0 (SAKAKI) で
す。
