[mew-int 00423] delete direction in summary mode

I am a happy new Mew user. I used to use RMAIL, then I used VM for a
while, but now I'm trying out Mew.

One thing which has caused me much grief is the behavior of cursor
movement in summary mode when mails are deleted.

Specifically, if I am browsing backwards through my mailbox, one email
at a time, and I hit delete, it goes backwards.

This is very different from how RMIAL and VM behave, and it was
totally unexpected. I have lost very many emails by accident because
I expected the cursor to move down when I delete an email.

I think by default Mew should move the cursor forward on deletions.

I can see how Mew's current default behavior would be useful and
desirable, but for someone who previously used any other Emacs
mail reading system, it can cause major problems.

Thank you.
