Unfortunately, I will stop using mew because of this feature. I've
noticed that I'm often forget to read some message because it is not
marked as new or unread. Situation is even worse with replies. I said
"unfortunately", because other mail reader for Emacs -- VM -- doesn't
support i18n (I don't consider Gnus a mail reader). So, mew was the
only choice and I have to use a mail reader that works outside of
Emacs.

There were answers on my second question, about BBDB. bbdb-mew also
has small glitches (I have to press 'A' two times to reply, and it
rebinds essential mew key: ":"). But this is irrelevant anyway, as
nobody answered on my first question.
