Well, in fact it turns out that it is due the the compiled version of
mew-minibuf.el. Its was compiled under Emacs 20.7 and loading the
binary version under Emacs 21 lead to that error. Why is that? -- I
read that Emacs 21 only extended the binary code of previous Emacsen,
so it is capable of reading "old" files...
