My language should be interpreted as "Mew doesn't work on Emacs 19".

Mew 2.0 may work on Emacs 20.5 (but not on Emacs 20.3). If you have no
problem, you can stay with Emacs 20.5. However, I recommend to use
Emacs 20.7 since older versions are buggy a bit.
