mew is different from other news readers, in that it keeps a local
copy of all the messages. So, even a 'catchup' would imply getting
all the messages.

In my _humble_ opinion, mew's news handling is slight different
from conventional news readers slrn/tin etc, someobody should write
a quickstart guide to using it efficently.
