[mew-int 01204] Re: new newsgroup 'catchup'

It works for some newsgroups but not others.  For gnu.g++.help it
works fine.  For comp.lang.java and comp.lang.c++ it does not.  For
these groups Mew always wants to retrieve all of the messages (many
thousands of messages), even when I do an "update" after a
"last:<num>". The only difference I can determine between the group
that works and those that do not is the number of posts waiting --
gnu.g++.help only had a few hundred unread messages.
