[mew-int 00675] Small bug with mew-smtp-ssh-server

(setq mew-smtp-ssh-server "do-da.village.org")
(setq mew-pop-ssh-server "do-da.village.org")

Each time I send email or "inc" my mail, I get another process running
on do-da.

8:10pm do-da:/dev/ttyp2:[66]> finger

Any ideas what might be causing this?  I'm using fsf emacs 21.1.1 with
mew 2.1 on FreeBSD.
