IMAP feature is available, but it's undocumented yet. (I'm not
using IMAP, so I don't know the quality of this feature.)
Anyway, I give you a hint:
----
(setq mew-proto "%") ;; default folder: "+"/"%"/"$"/"-" (local/IMAP/POP/NNTP)
(setq mew-imap-server "xxx.EXAMPLE.net")
(setq mew-imap-user "xxx") ;; (user-login-name)
(setq mew-imap-auth t) ;; t means SASL. nil means plain password.
;(setq mew-imap-auth-list '("CRAM-MD5" "LOGIN"))
;(setq mew-imap-ssh-server "xxx at example.com") ;; nil
;(setq mew-imap-port "143") ;; "imap"
;(setq mew-imap-size 0) ;; (* 54 1024)
;(setq mew-imap-delete t)
;(setq mew-imap-header-only nil)
;(setq mew-imap-friend-folder "%inbox.from")
;(setq mew-imap-inbox-folder "%inbox") ;; default folder for IMAP
;(setq mew-inbox-folder "+inbox") ;; default folder for local
----
mew-vars.el, mew-vars2.el, and mew-config.el are useful documents
for the configuration. (Of course, I'm looking forward to seeing
the new Info document.)
