Hi there:
Just upgraded to Mew 2.2 (Win32 on W2K). And I found
out the cite behavior when replying with "A" has
changed some how. With no special customization, it
cites the whole message buffer (including all the
return path information). It used to just to cite the
"From", "To" and "Date" fields. Furthermore, in
mini-buffer, a message " Syntax of mew-cite-format was
changed. Read explanation of mew-cite-fields"
appeared.
I tried to customize those 2 variables, didn't see any
changes to the above citing behavior.
If i do "C-h v mew-cite-fields", it says:
mew-cite-fields's value is
("From:" "Subject:" "Date:")
if i do "C-h v mew-cite-format", it says:
mew-cite-format's value is
"From: %s\nSubject: %s\nDate: %s\n\n"
What was I doing wrong. How do I have Mew not to cite
the return path info?
A related question, I used to have a ".mew" file
containing all the custom-set variables, when
installing Mew 2.2, I removed it to have a fresh
install. So I did all the customization through
"Customize" interface, which saved all the
customization in .emacs. Will it be ok not to have a
.mew file at all?
Thanks for this wonder package!
