thanks for the reply. for some reason it is working normally now after
i restarted my computer.

anyways, here is what would happen:

a file in ~/Mail/folder-name/ would have the first few lines terminated
with '\n' and the rest would then be terminated with '\r\n'. but now i
think they are all terminated with '\n' now, so it works.
