If `Q' ([Shift]+[Q], not just [Q]) was typed, `M-x mew' should
reload the .mew-uidl file.

A known problem is that there is a possibility that Mew leaves
mails on a POP server when another POP process is active with the
maildir. (On 2002-12-26, [mew-dist 22743], [mew-dist 22744]
reported by Hiroshi Fujishima.)

Anyway, you can retrieve mails from the $inbox folder without
removing .mew-uidl.
