[mew-int 01553] refiling works, reading dosn't

I'm using IMAP to connect to a netscape messaging server
and I can refile but not read from remote folders.

When I first connect, new messages show up in %inbox.
I type "o" to refile (for example to "%Sent/lists/nanog")
then "g" to get new mssages from the box, I get "Connection Refused".
I also get "Connection Refuesed" when I hit the "Check" icon
on the %inbox, but if I restart Mew, I get all the new
messages in %inbox.

Confused newbie (using PINE at the moment :-()
