BTW, to my best knowledge:

(1) The archive system of mail.gnu.org has a bug that some messages
    are lost by accident.

(2) Even so, the messages are delivered to the members.

(3) If you are not a member, you can find the lost messages in
    -gmane.emacs.pretest.bugs on news.gmane.org with NNTP.
