[mew-int 01793] Delete excess versions of /Mail/draft/1

Starting from about three days ago, every time I try to sent out a
message with MEW, I get a message in the minibuffer saying

  "Delete excess backup versions of /Mail/draft/1 ?"

I have tried to get rid of this by deleting the draft directory and most
of the files generate by MEW, but no effect.

Then I uninstalled and reinstalled MEW, but no change in this condition.

Does anyone have advice on how to correct this?
