[mew-int 01813] several newbie questions

hi, 

i have discovered mew few days ago; now i'm still here tuning things.

so, about summary mode:

* with the default value for 'mew-scan-form, there's never space
  enough for the from field, so i've set 'mew-scan-form to:

  '(type " " (5 date) " " (40 from) " " (-4 size) " " t (0 subj)))

  now, it's too long and yet it's too short: i'd like to see only the
  name, if it's there, otherwise the address, but not both. how can i
  do this?

* after changing 'mew-scan-form, only new messages were correctly
  formatted, so i had to manually delete .mew-cache files. is there a
  mew command to do this?

* how do i tell mew to always show threads? now i must press t t each
  time i browse a mailbox.

and, about fetching and splitting mail:

i fetch mail with getmail, but i haven't found the best way to locally
deliver and split it yet. i've tried imget, now i'm viewing procmail
and mh/inc, from the nmh package (debian), and then i'll try maildrop
and something else, i guess... 

still, i never see any distinction between read and unread messages. 

* how can i see which messages are unread in summary?
