[mew-int 01895] IMAP problem with Mew 4.1

Hello,

I've been using Mew since 1.94.1 was released. Thanks for a great mail client!

I decided to switch my mail server to IMAP so that I could access my
mail more easily from the web and from other mail clients. Of course,
I've found that I'm not nearly as productive with GUI mail clients,
such as Thunderbird, as I am with Mew. Unfortunately, I have not been
able to get Mew 4.1 to work with IMAP.

After I type "3Z", I end up with the message "IMAP connection lost".
I'm not given an opportunity to type my password.

My IMAP server works fine with other mail clients such as Thunderbird,
Mac OS X Mail,
and Sylpheed.

Here are some details:

Server: Fedora Core 2, running Dovecot for IMAP
Client: Fedora Core 2, emacs-version "21.3.1"

I've attached the following to this message:

Output in *Messages* after typing "3Z"
Output in *Mew Debug" (from 'net) after typing "3Z"
Relevant info from .mew.el

I've tried tracking this down by single stepping the Mew code, but it
seems I've hit some problems in running edebug and I'm not a
proficient elisp hacker, so any help would be appreciated. It seems
like I'm missing something obvious.

Thanks

Greg
