[mew-int 2246] installing mew-5.1 on Debian testing

Hello,

I would be glad to succeed in installing mew-5.1 in my Debian testing.
Unfortunately, the sources of mew in Debian testing are older. I have
tried to remove  mew-4.2  and then to install mew-5.1 via the sources
(in /usr/loca/  ./configure make  make info   make install ),
but my emacs does not find the file mew at starting... 

I need help.
