[mew-int 2348] Zombie stunnel processes

On my Mac laptop, the stunnel processes started by mew sometimes fail
to wait for their children, leaving a large number (30 or more) zombie
processes behind. I have not been able to find out under what
circumstances this happens; most of the time, it does not. It could
possibly be due to a low memory situation, but that's just a guess. I
most often see this in situations where the laptop is generally
sluggish, anyway, typically when firefox has bloated too much and
needs restarting.

Have other people seen this? I'm assuming it is stunnel's fault, but
I suppose it is possible that it could be something that mew does
wrong, like not closing a connection or something. But then the
stunnel process at the other end should not exit, and so not end up a
zombie, or so I imagine. So stunnel itself is still my main suspect.

FWIW, I am running stunnel from macports. It is version 4.20.
