[mew-int 2403] IMAP and stunnel

I'm trying to get mew using imap over ssl for the first time. Is there
a place where I can find some more information on how to do this?

My client is a CentOS5 system with stunnel 4.15 and mew 5.2.51.

When I start mew it hangs with the message "Creating an SSL/TSL
connection..." so I probably need some pointers to docs showing how to
verify that stunnel is working rather than mew related issues this
time.

In my *Mew debug* buffer I find (after interrupting it)

then probably as a result of my C-g
