hi!

my experience with unoconv is that it is that sometimes the background process (starting openoffice) takes too much time to complete (for example on my slow computer) and then unoconv quits before openoffice executable could start in the background.  also, this usually happens when i use it first, and if i run it after it is ok.  i don't know if this helps just to share my experience.  maybe the backound openoffice could be started by mew and then unoconv could be run safely...
