[mew-int 2428] error in process filter: Wrong type argument: stringp, nil

[maxigas]

hi!

i get this error message sometimes when i send/receive messages:

* error in process filter: Wrong type argument: stringp, nil

* at the same time, special characters (i am Hungarian) are transformed
  into red strings with a three-digit (?) numbers. must be UTF-8 problem.

* when i try to send messages after this, it won't work, saying that
  "+queue is locked"

is there a remedy for this?
