Hum... I think I have found the culprit...
The following line in my .emacs was apparently at fault:

(add-hook 'write-file-hooks 'delete-trailing-whitespace)

The attachment section of the message being read-only, `delete-trailing-whitespace' fails and the file is not saved...
There's not much Mew can do about it... Adding attachment sections without trailing whitespaces, maybe :)

Anyway, sorry for the noise.
