Hi All,
I've been bitten by this issue so many times. If I quit emacs (by ^x^c) right after sending a mail by Mew (by ^c^c, followed by y), the mail will not actually be sent. Attached below is a message in the syslog I get when that happens:
Aug 15 12:34:56 *** sendmail[*****]: [ID ****** mail.warning] **************: collect: premature EOM: unexpected close
Aug 15 12:34:56 *** sendmail[*****]: [ID ****** mail.notice] **************: collect: unexpected close on connection from localhost, sender=<***@***.***.***.***>
I am using Mew 7.0.50 with emacs 23.2 on SunOS 5.10. I admit that my workstation is very, very slow, and I think I know that I am terminating a process in the middle when a message is being sent, but shouldn't that happen in the background and detached state?
Thanks!!!
-HY
