という記述を読むと、".eml" は単なる RFC822 メールの拡張子のようですね。

これは、Outlook/Outlook Exmpress/Entourage で扱える。

Windows では Outlook/Outlook Exmpress のファイルに見え、
Mac では Entrourage のファイルに見える。

というのが正しそうですね。
