I sent a mesage to ask diving spots in Chiba area to my diving friends. Before I received answers, Wej and Jim fould Tokyo Scuba Club which is operated by English speakers. The destination is Atami. It is far away from Makuhari, however it might be convenient because there are direct trains from Tokyo Statoin. I realized they can go diving without my help. But I decided to join them first because it will be nice to spend time with Wej and Jim in Japan, and second because I have not dived in Izu area.
On 6th July, I got up at 6:00am. I guess two hours should be enough for Atami from my home but I left my home at 6:30. Connecting Tomei, Odaatsu, Seisho, Manazuru, Aatami Beach line took me to JR Atami Station just for 1 hour and half. Since the promised time is 9:00am, I spent one hour by reading a book.
Wej and Jim came at 8:30. Tokyo Scuba reached around 9:00. Wej and Jim rode on my car and I followed the car of Tokyo Scuba to get a boat station.

We descented to the wreck by grabbing a rope. Visibility was only 2 or 3 meters around surface but 15 meters under 5 meter depth. The temperature was cold to me but I could stand.
Just after descending, I found a moray! Also I found a bumphead parrotfish. I couldn't believe my eyes. A bumphead parrotfish lives in this cold ocean! I should have took its picture but I couldn't.
Atami is more beautiful than I expected. There are many soft corals and sea fins. It is said that plankton will disappear and visibility will be much better in September and October.
I saw 5 morays totally. I guess the wreck is a paradise for morays!
The third moray gave me an opportunity to take the best shots of today.
