Yes, I think so. I did not install any Chinese package in my Linux
machine yet.
Should I install some Chinese packages firstly?  Which package? Where to
download?
By the way, the package of Wnn4 for input Japanese Kanji was installed
and it work well for writing a Japanese email.

When I get a email in Chinese (gb2312),  only the numerical code
such as \227\300\215\203\212h are displayed. Maybe I have to install
Chinese code library firstly.

It very useful for  Chinese in Taiwan, HongKong and so on.
