[Mew-dist 10904] Mew and IMAP ??

Some time back I tried to use the IMAP server directly from mew

BUT i got stuck since:

either I got a local copy of every mail on the server evry time i checked for new mail 

or if I deleted the mail on the imap-server I got valid local mail but none on the server




??  Is it possible to config mew/im to use IMAP such that it work on the server only ??
