I do not know what hooks need to be added. I have also posted a copy
to the bbdb list and if I get any suggestions there, I will forward
them on.

I have used Mew entensively and my partner uses it on here emacs
setup. TBH, I keep meaning to replace the Gnus mail setup to Mew as
the autoload etc exists in my .emacs.el file. I think I stopped
because of sharing the bbdb database and also because I use different
email addresses for different mailing lists.
