Ok, thanks. Should I start afresh w/ a new post to request this?
In the mean time, not sure if this is appropriate, but I think I can
get by w/:
(defconst mew-regex-case "^\\([-a-zA-Z0-9_][-a-zA-Z0-9_@\.]+\\):\\(.*\\)")
(defconst mew-regex-case2 "\\([-a-zA-Z0-9_][-a-zA-Z0-9_@\.]+\\):")
in mew-const.el.
