Are you sure wv does not exist as an RPM package? It seems to be on
the powertools CD. Anyway, by now, doesn't Redhat come with an "RPM
finder" (specifies the RPM you want and it search and download all the
dependencies)? A quick web search gives
http://www.alltheweb.com/search?cat=ftp&cs=iso-8859-1&ftype=4&q=wv-0.7.*.rpm
but I do not know whether these packages are for Redhat. The
ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/contrib/libc6/SRPMS/ contains
wv-0.5.26-1.src.rpm but this version is quite old... The poor search
facility of RedHat (http://www.redhat.com/apps/download/) does not
give any interesting result. RPMfind is not of much help either:
http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=wv (old versions or
not specifically for RedHat although the ones for other distrib may
work). Anyway you got the idea -- and after this boring search I
cannot help but advise you to switch to a real package system like the
one of debian! ("apt-get install wv" was all I needed to do!)
Cheers,
ChriS
