[mew-int 01659] Passwords

Hi,

I know this has been discussed already, but in spite of all the security
issues I would like to do the following with my passwords:

Could the imap passwords be cached for the current session? I get lots of
emails into my office, and right now using mew is a real pain because I have
to type my password for *every* *single* *action*.

I'd like to store the pop passwords somewhere (e.g. pgp-encrypted). Yes, I
know what you want to say. But if I want to delete spam from my gmx account I
have to log on the website and can't even transmit my password encrypted, so
security is broken anyway -- much more than even a plain text password
somewhere in .mew.el could do it. Setting things up with fetchmail would also
mean storing your password as plain text ...

Now I'm not saying it's ideal or that everybody should do it, I'd just like to
be *able* to do it.

Best

Edi (now using kmail :-(
