[mew-int 2140] old styp pgp not working

Dear List Members,

I cannot decrypt the message below using mew (version 4.2 as shipped
with FC5).  In summary mode, if I type \C-c\C-z on the message, mew
says either "decypting message" or "no PGP data" found.  What I would
expect is that mew askes me for a password (my key is password
protected).

My .mew.el file contains (setq mew-prog-pgp "gpg") as the only pgp
related entry.

Is this probem reproducible?  What could be the reason?
