[mew-int 2313] spotlight doesn't work

i installed the spotlight importer, tested it per

, made index file with <kM> but it doesn't find any string i throw at
it (i search with <k/>).

what now?

it's OS X 10.4 Mew 5.2 Emacs 22.1
