Hmm, the original mail seems to be attached as Text/Plain, not
Message/Rfc822, so the attachment of the attached mail is not
recognized by Mew.

How about replacing "Text/Plain" with "Message/Rfc822" as follows?

  - type `lc RET' to copy (backup) the mail
  - type `C-u C-c C-i' to edit it
  - replace "Content-Type: Text/Plain" with "Content-Type: Message/Rfc822"
  - type `C-x C-s C-x k RET' to save it and exit
