[mew-int 2550] Bare linefeeds in outgoing mail

Once in a while, my mail server rejects my outgoing email with a
reference to <http://cr.yp.to/docs/smtplf.html>: In other words, qmail
barfs at a bare newline somewhere in the mail.

This only ever happens to me when I use TLS, and only when the email
contains one or more binary attachments. The use of TLS makes it hard
to snoop on the wire to figure out what is happening of course, and
these have a tendency to bite just when I am in too much of a hurry to
try to debug the case. Today is no exception: I am going on vacation
in an hour, and I need to get this mail out now. So I'll just copy the
attachments to my office computer and send from there (no TLS since it
speaks to the server on localhost).

Anyway, I am mentioning this here in case someone has seen something
like it and know anything about it. I promise to investigate more if
it ever happens when I have the time to do so.
