Dear mew friends!

I have been using sylpheed-claws as my favourite email client. It stores it's emails in MH format, like mew. Since nobody seems to maintain the win32 port of sylpheed any more, I am looking for an alternative, so I found mew.

I got mew to work with NTemacs, but can't read HTML messages: there is no W3 installed, no meadow and no imagamagic. I failed to be able to install W3, perhaps I will have to give it another try.

The mew installation procedure says, I need meadow and W3. The meadow readme says I need imagemagic. Now, I found the mew installation not too difficult (the installer did most of it), but I am failing to understand the meadow and imagemagic instructions (I really don't want to compile it myself). Do I really need all this? Isn't mew and mule enough?

The next try was to install XEmacs, which has W3 and mew already build-in. However, the current XEmacs, precompiled for W2k has no Mule built-in, and I need that to be able to enter German texts with my US keyboard (the system utility "AllChars", which I use otherwise doesn't work with XEmacs, even though it works with Emacs).

So: what do I really need to read/write texts in Latin-1 and read in HTML?

Is there a simple way to installl everything I need?

Best regards - Josef
