# I don't know Meadow+Mew can view HTML message...

Now, I found the mew installation not too difficult (the installer did most of it), but I am failing to understand the meadow and imagemagic instructions (I really don't want to compile it myself). Do I really need all this? Isn't mew and mule enough?

If you use NetInstaller for Meadow(*1), ImageMagick can be installed from menu.
Otherwise, try indivisual package(*2).

(*1)http://www.meadowy.org/meadow/dists/2.00/setup.exe

(*2)http://www.meadowy.org/meadow/dists/snapshot/ImageMagick-6.0.1-Q16-windows-dll.exe

However, the current XEmacs, precompiled for W2k has no Mule built-in, and I need that to be able to enter German texts with my US keyboard (the system utility "AllChars", which I use otherwise doesn't work with XEmacs, even though it works with Emacs).

Umm. a simple way seems not to exist....

from info, Mew seems to require w3m and emacs-w3m when viewing HTML message.
emacs-w3m can be installed from NetInstaller, but w3m needs to be compiled
by Cygwin.

Do somebody know details?
