My version of the w3m-el package is 1.4.4-3ubuntu1, and
emacs-w3m-version also reports 1.4.1. I'm running an up-to-date Ubuntu
gutsy installation, so if this is too old, then something is wrong
with the maintainance of the packet.
I checked the web site (http://emacs-w3m.namazu.org/) and 1.4.4
(released March '05) is the latest version listed. That seems quite
dated, but I can't see where a newer version would come from (and the
Ubuntu folks don't seem to know about it either).
